Among the VELOREGIO hiking trails, the cycle circuit starting from Szombathely, which can be easily completed with the family, follows the route of the ancient aqueducts in a longer or shorter version.
The former town of Savaria, today's Szombathely, received its fresh drinking water from the Kőszeg Hills, which the Romans used to channel underground instead of surface water pipes. You can follow the route of the former pipeline and take a look at the excavated Roman canal system on the outskirts of Bucsu.
