Vas County is one of the richest regions in terms of the number of castles, with 260 castles and mansions counted, many of which are located in Szombathely or its surroundings.
Some of these can be visited on the route, in Táplánszentkereszten, Vasszécseny there are several castles, some of medieval origin. In Vasszécseny, the castle of Ó-Ebergényi is located in a mystical setting, and it is no coincidence that some scenes from the cult film Narcissus and Psyché were filmed here.
In Csempeszkopács, the small Romanesque church is worth a visit, according to legend built by the masters of the famous Jaani church. In the valley of the Rába, on the outskirts of Zsennye, you will find the thousand-year-old oak tree, which once reminded us of the famous Pannonian forests.
