We offer a special route for those who are looking for a cycling tour from Szombathely: we pass through the villages along the Gyöngyös stream to Sárvár, famous for its castle and spa.
Along the way, the route passes castles, mansions (some with several) and water mills in almost every village. In Ikervar you can admire the Batthyány Castle and the country's first hydroelectric power station. It is also recommended for families, as it is on low-traffic roads. On the way back, there are several options to choose from: Turning north from Sárvár, we return to Szombathely via Porpác and Vép. Turning south at Ikervár, we reach the other Veloregio route, the Medieval Churches and Mansions circuit at Rum. Here you can choose to make a detour towards Zsennye and Püspökmolnári, or return to Szombathely on the former railway line to Rum or on the cycle path along the main road 87.
