Guided tours, qualified guides

For the VELOREGIO routes, a professional, internationally licensed tour guide can be hired for individual cyclists and cycling groups, as well as, for the first time in Hungary, for people with special needs and disabilities.

The project has also included training of cycling tour leaders, most of whom will be section leaders (those who supervise specific sections of the routes), active cyclists who regularly cycle the VELOREGIO routes, either as part of cycling clubs or individually. The tour leaders received theoretical and practical training from instructors from the Austrian VAVÖ organisation. They also learned how to guide cyclists with special needs or disabilities using special bicycles. Thus, in Szombathely, in Vas County and on the eastern border of Austria, 30 trained cycling tour guides will help you to get on two wheels and discover the natural and cultural features of the area.
